How do I use AffirmHer?

AffirmHer is designed to be simple and intuitive:

• Today Tab: Your daily affirmation appears here each morning
• Categories: Browse affirmations by theme (Confidence, Self-Love, Healing, etc.)
• Favorites: Tap the heart icon to save affirmations you love
• Settings: Customize notification times and app preferences

Do I need an internet connection?

No! AffirmHer works completely offline. All affirmations are stored locally on your device, so you can access your daily inspiration anytime, anywhere.

How do I set up daily reminders?

1. Open AffirmHer and go to the Settings tab
2. Tap Notification Settings
3. Toggle on Daily Reminders
4. Choose your preferred time
5. Allow notifications when prompted by iOS

I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

If notifications aren't working, try these steps:

• Check iOS Settings: Go to Settings > Notifications > AffirmHer and ensure notifications are enabled
• Check Do Not Disturb: Make sure Do Not Disturb isn't blocking notifications
• Restart the app: Close AffirmHer completely and reopen it
• Re-enable in app: Go to Settings > Notification Settings and toggle notifications off and on again

How do I track my mood?

1. Open the Today tab
2. Tap your current mood and select the intensity
3. Optionally add a short note for context

Where can I see my insights?

Go to the Dashboard to view mood trends, distribution, weekly patterns, and stability over time. All insights are processed on-device to protect your privacy.

How do reflections work?

Visit the Reflections section to write with gentle prompts. Your entries are saved locally and can be revisited in your reflection history.

What are achievements and streaks?

AffirmHer celebrates consistency with streaks and achievement badges. Keep logging moods and completing reflections to unlock milestones.

How do I add AffirmHer widgets to my home screen?

1. Long press on an empty area of your home screen
2. Tap the + button in the top corner
3. Search for and select AffirmHer
4. Choose your preferred widget size (Small or Medium)
5. Tap Add Widget

My widget isn't updating. How do I fix this?

• Refresh manually: Tap and hold the widget, then tap "Refresh Widget"
• Check widget settings: Open AffirmHer > Settings > Widget Settings
• Remove and re-add: Delete the widget and add it again
• Restart your iPhone: This can help refresh the widget system

How do I save my favorite affirmations?

Simply tap the heart icon on any affirmation you love! It will be saved to your Favorites tab for easy access anytime.

What are the different categories?

• Confidence & Self-Worth: Build inner strength and self-value
• Self-Love & Body Positivity: Foster self-acceptance and love
• Healing & Letting Go: Process emotions and release negativity

Can I add my own custom affirmations?

Custom affirmations are planned for a future update! For now, you can browse our carefully curated collection of empowering affirmations designed specifically for women.

The app is crashing or not working properly

Try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Force close the app: Double-tap home button, swipe up on AffirmHer
2. Restart your iPhone: Hold power button and volume button until slider appears
3. Update the app: Check the App Store for updates
4. Restart with a fresh install: Delete and reinstall AffirmHer (note: this will reset your favorites)

I lost my favorites after updating or reinstalling

Unfortunately, favorites are stored locally on your device and cannot be recovered after deleting the app. We're working on a backup feature for future versions.

What iOS versions are supported?

AffirmHer requires iOS 17.6 or later and works on iPhone and iPad.

Is my data private and secure?

Absolutely! AffirmHer is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• No personal data collection: We don't collect names, emails, or personal information
• Local storage only: All your favorites and settings stay on your device
• No cloud sync: Your data never leaves your iPhone
• No tracking: We don't track your usage or behavior

How do I start the free trial?

Open AffirmHer and navigate to any Premium feature (e.g., Dashboard insights or Reflections). The paywall will present available plans. If eligible, the Annual plan shows a 7‑day free trial. After the trial, Apple bills annually unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Prices are localized by region.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

1. On your iPhone, open Settings ▸ Tap your Apple ID
2. Tap Subscriptions ▸ Select AffirmHer
3. Choose your plan, update payment, or cancel

You can also open the system page from the app: Settings ▸ Subscription ▸ Manage Subscription.

How do I restore purchases?

1. Open AffirmHer ▸ Settings ▸ Subscription
2. Tap Restore Purchases

Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If the restore succeeds, Premium features unlock immediately.

Why don’t I see a free trial?

Free trials are available to first‑time subscribers and may not be offered if you’ve previously subscribed. Eligibility and pricing are determined by Apple and your region.
